Total Appointment Time: 30 minutes
Appointment times vary depending on the service, but for a Brazilian wax most clients are on and off the treatment table in about 10–15 minutes. We plan for a little extra time for check-in, a quick consult, and aftercare tips so you leave feeling confident (not rushed). -
It's totally normal to worry about this, especially if it’s your first-time Brazilian wax.
We’re all made from the same parts, just organized differently. This is my day-to-day job, and I’ve genuinely seen it all. Nothing about your anatomy is “abnormal” to me.
My focus is giving you a quick, clean, and judgment-free Brazilian wax experience here in Southwest Las Vegas; not the arrangement of your labia.
-
Vulvas don’t smell like nothing. Vulvas smell like vulvas. It’s totally normal to smell a little like sweat or even a little metallic-y on your period. You’re not weird or gross. This is my day-to-day job, and if sweat or discharge freaked me out I’d be in the wrong field.
If showering before your appointment helps your anxiety, go for it! But it’s not a required pre-wax step. And if you’re coming straight from your busy life, I always have wipes available so you can freshen up and remove things like sweat or pant lint before we start.
Bottom line: come as you are. I’ve got you.

It depends on your flexibility and what feels comfortable for your body, but don’t stress. A lot of people wonder “what position do you lay in for a Brazilian wax?” or “what if I’m not flexible enough?”. For most of the service you’ll be in a butterfly position (knees out, feet together). If that doesn’t work, we'll switch it up; one leg extended at a time, one leg off the table, or one knee bent upright. For the back side, you’ll either bring your knees toward your chest, or we can have you turn on your side with one leg in the knee-to-chest position.
And if you’re worried you “can’t do the positions” or that you’ll have to spread your legs a certain way.. nope. No one is too big, too inflexible, or too much to get waxed. Waxing is for Every. Body. and we’ll work together to keep you comfortable for the quick 15-minute service.

Waxing isn’t one-and-done. It’s a process. Plan to get a few appointments in before the wedding night or that 2-week vacay!
Your first few waxes are part of the “Hair Cycle Syncing Period”, most clients see about 5-6 days of super-smooth results at first. As you stay consistent and follow aftercare, your hair growth will slow and you’ll work up to 1-2 weeks, and then up to 2–3 weeks of totally bald coochie.

For the best results, your hair should be about 1/4 inch long (roughly the length of your nail bed). For most people, that’s 3–4 weeks of growth after shaving. If it’s too short, the wax can’t grab properly and we may need to reschedule.
ANY Shaving or trimming in the weeks leading up to your appointment can make waxing less effective. Longer the better!
-
Every 4-6 weeks!
We need all the hair cycles to be grown out and are ready to be removed, making your wax last longer than if they were removed prematurely.
*This varies from person to person depending on their individual growth patterns. How the heck am I going to go 4-6 weeks between wax appointments when I’m coming from shaving every day?
With frequent waxing, your hair growth slows, gets thinner, softer, and sparser! It’s not going to grow back the same as a shaved hair. That’s the beauty of it! With waxing, even when there is hair growth it’s not as noticeable or irritating!
BEWARE: This only occurs because we’re damaging your hair follicles consistently! If you go too long between your appts. (8+ weeks) or shave in between, then your hair will start to grow back thicker and sharper, erasing all the progress we’ve made! So stick to your schedule and if you have trouble waiting the time frame let me know and we can troubleshoot what works best for YOU. -
No Brazilian waxing does not cause ingrown hairs. Ingrowns happen when hair gets trapped under dead skin buildup as it tries to grow back.
Sometimes you’ll see a few ingrown hairs pop up when you first start waxing, especially during the transition from shaving to waxing. Just like I mention in the “How long does a Brazilian wax last?” FAQ, your first few appointments are part of the "Hair Cycle Syncing Period". You’ll have hairs on different growth cycles: some have been waxed and are growing back finer, and some haven’t been removed from the root yet and are still coming in stronger. Those stronger hairs can sometimes grow over the finer hairs and contribute to hairs becoming ingrown. It can feel like it gets a little worse before it gets better. Which is why it can feel like waxing is making your ingrowns worse.
The answer is consistent exfoliation of the dead skin cells. After your Brazilian wax, give your skin time to calm down, about 72 hours. From there, exfoliate 2–3x/week and moisturize daily to help keep hairs growing out smoothly instead of getting trapped.
Waxing itself is a form of exfoliation, when you pair that with the right at-home exfoliation routine, your ingrown hairs will improve a ton over time. This is why Brazilian waxing is recommended as a solution for treating ingrown hairs.
Ingrown hairs can happen for a million reasons (dead skin cell build up, friction in the same area, product and clothing irritation, ect.) so if you’re prone to them, we’ll troubleshoot products and aftercare routines together and find what works best for YOU.

Keep it simple, but most importantly.. Grow your Hair!
Waxing is a form of extreme exfoliation, so be gentle with your skin in the days leading up to your first Brazilian Wax. No sun tanning, facials, or exfoliating products.
The anticipate of the wax appointment is so much worse than the actual Brazilian wax. Do what you can to calm your mind before heading into your appointment.
Grow it out: 3–4 weeks of growth (no trimming).Come clean + comfy: Arrive with clean skin and comfortable clothes.
Skip lotion/oils: Don’t apply lotion before your appointment (it can keep wax from adhering).
Avoid caffeine: Skip caffeine beforehand (it can increase heart rate and blood flow).
Optional: Take an anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen on your way to your appointment (only if it’s safe for you).
-
48 hours before: avoid sunburn/tanning, harsh exfoliants (acids/retinol), and heavy physical exfoliation. If you’re currently on antibiotics or Acne medications these could be Red Flags. See appointment consultation form.
Day of: don’t exfoliate, and don’t apply lotion/oils to the area. This can make it difficult for the wax to adhere properly.
After your wax (first 24 hours): avoid the “3 S’s” — sex, swimming, sweating — plus tight leggings/underwear if you can.
Skin products: skip fragranced products and deodorant on the area until your skin calms down.
Exfoliation restart: wait 72 hours before exfoliating again, then begin your aftercare routine of 2–3x/week to help prevent ingrowns.
